Not to get our hopes up but I think MAGA might be breaking up

This week we found out that the Russian bot theory of Twitter was bullshit, mainly because most of the bots came from India. Following a new update to increase transparency, Musk’s Twitter added a drop down menu that provided rough locations of its users. Revealing to the world that a goodly sum of MAGA Twitter influencers were not located within the United States.

This of course makes sense. Musk sends out checks for engagement on Twitter and the best way to farm such engagement has been, historically: outrage. But I’m far more interested in this phenom as one part of a much larger picture and it is the slow break up of MAGA.

Now your average MAGA has had a tough time the last few months. Approval of Trump’s policies are at an all time low , the Epstein files continues to be a disaster for him, Marjorie Taylor Greene just broke away from MAGA signaling to them that perhaps Qanon was bullshit, and H1-B Visas continue to be a source of contention among his base. With these major and a few minor splits in the party, well I don’t want to get my hopes up but it looks like MAGA is breaking up.

The façade is slipping and it seems the entire game is about to crumble under the weight of its own contradictions. MAGA faithful are burning their hats, yelling about how they have been betrayed, and certain segments have started openly fighting. Notably a rift between Nick Fuentes and all of the remembers at the Daily Wire over their stance on Israel has already formed.

Lest you be worried that they are breaking up out of a principled opposition to policy, or the stark reality of seeing the practice of mass immigration, it seems many are simply unhappy because they amount of cruelty on display has waned. Many are angry that any immigrants are allowed to stay and have American Jobs, and some have felt that the Trump administration has not gone far enough.

Any way you slice it the dominant party that has defined the last decade of politics may be crumbling before our eyes. And while we cannot rest yet, because they have rallied once before after the fallout following January 6th, if played right MAGA may become a diffuse network of Black Pilled always-too-online types, too disconnected to actually affect the world around us.
